Facts & FAQs
Requirements
Fortune Teller is aimed at local newcomers and more established artists in the Berlin scene who have taken the first steps toward a professional career (have released music, played concerts and have a basic understanding of the music business) and who want to expand their career internationally with realistic ambitions; and to independent music professionals looking to expand their knowledge and network outside of the German market. Our focus is on the independent local pop scene and alternative music.
Accessibility
We will be paying close attention to diversity and inclusion throughout this project and want to encourage women, gender expansive people, BIPoC artists to apply for the sessions. We will make sure everyone feels safe and at ease. We have an accessibility budget available for any special needs or requirements to attend these events (sign language interpreter, translator, mobility ie. ground transportation costs if public transport is not possible). Unlike most of the music industry, we want our event to be accessible to parents (especially women* and single parents) and can help cover related expenses such as childcare costs.
